Located in rural Virginia with expansive views of the landscaped terrace, Skyline Drive and the rolling countryside, this weekend house was designed as the antithesis of the family’s fast paced Washington, DC lifestyle. Each room is designed to capture the views, instill a zen-like state and generally encourage its occupants to exhale.
The main floor contains all of the indoor and outdoor public living spaces while the second floor provides multiple sleeping quarters and baths for family and frequent guests. The third floor tower contains a fully outfitted office space so that the weekends can extend well in to the weekdays without having to leave. The house was designed and built from the ground up and is intended to be a family legacy house for generations.
